Chambers Court

Dear Resident

Dear Resident of Chambers Court,

Welcome! We are pleased that you have chosen Chambers Court as your new home and we are glad that you are here.

By now you have received your mailing address with the correct cottage number on Chambers Court, Kingston, NY 12401. If you are going to have Verizon as your telephone provider, you may find that they have your apartment listed as the town of Ulster. This confusion over Kingston or Ulster does come up from time to time as they share a zip code. Chambers Court is in the town of Ulster but has a Kingston mailing address! By the way, the phone number for Verizon is 845-890-1700.

Please contact Central Hudson Electric & Gas at 845-452-2700 to have the power transferred over into your name as soon as possible. We have provided you with your meter number to expedite the process. When you set up your account, please write down your account number and provide this information to the office.

Included on this site is general information to help orient you to your new home and surroundings. Our general website is www.Birchez.com, but you may go directly to your community website at  www.ChambersCourt.com. You might want to check out your neighbor, The Birches at Chambers, while you’re on the website because you are invited to use the amenities at our newest facility. There’s a spacious community room, media room (movie theater), a fitness studio, crafts room, computer lab, and lots more. Plus there are a variety of special interest clubs that you may want to join: Garden Club, Crafts Club, and Book Club. The office can give you contact information.

The Community Room located off the foyer of the 3000 Maple Lane entrance is a lively spot. There’s a potluck lunch every Monday (fourth Monday is held at the Community Room at 401 Chambers), Bingo, and Game nights. Plus special events, like seasonal celebrations, pasta dinners and bagel brunch. To find out what’s happening ask the community manager for a copy of the most recent community calendar (distributed monthly to each resident).

Our Senior Advocate, Alice Tipp, is available to help you with community resources. Alice is onsite for Chambers Court and The Birches at Chambers every Monday from 8am til 3pm. She hosts a gathering (potluck lunch) each week and frequently hosts speakers on a variety of topics relevant to our residents.

If you have any questions or if any maintenance issues come up, please contact us at 845-338-7571. Should you reach voice mail, please let us know that you are calling from Chambers Court and provide both your cottage number and your telephone number so someone can get back to you as quickly as possible.

Again, we welcome you to your new home and hope you enjoy living at Chambers Court.

Sincerely,

Theresa Walsh
